Troubleshooting Note Sync Issues
If your Apple Notes aren’t syncing to Quotion, here are common reasons and solutions.
Wrong Folder Name
During onboarding, Quotion guides you to share your Apple Notes folder. Sync fails if the folder name doesn’t match your Quotion site name.
How to Fix
- Create a new folder with the correct name.
- Move all notes into the new folder.
- Share the folder with
link@quotion.co.

Renaming the existing folder won’t work due to Apple Notes limitations.
Incorrect Sharing Email
Quotion can only access notes shared with link@quotion.co.
Copy the correct email address using this button:
Draft Posts
Draft posts are invisible on your site. Remove the draft tag to make the post visible after synchronization.
iCloud Issues
Full iCloud Storage
Rare, but iCloud won’t sync if storage is full. To resolve:
- Delete unwanted iCloud content
- Upgrade your iCloud plan
iCloud Service Unavailability
Check the Apple Service System Status for service issues.
Sync Latency
iCloud sync can sometimes take hours. For persistent issues, contact Apple Support.

Quotion Sync Delay
Quotion checks notes periodically. Allow 1-2 minutes for synchronization.
