Notes Didn't Sync to Quotion
If your Apple Notes didn't sync to Quotion, here are some common reasons why this might happen.
You shared the wrong folder
During onboarding, Quotion guides you on how to share your Apple Notes folder. If you share the wrong folder, for instance, if you have created a site named emma.quotion.co but you create a folder named amme.quotion.co in your Apple Notes — Quotion won't be able to detect this error. Consequently, your notes will never synchronize with Quotion.
Good to know: You don't need to type the folder name manually. Click this button to copy the folder name so you can paste it directly into Apple Notes.
How to fix the wrong folder
If you've already saved the wrong folder to Quotion, you need to:
- Create a new folder with the correct name.
- Move all the notes into the new folder.
- Share the folder again with link@quotion.co.
Note: Renaming the wrong folder won't work due to Apple Notes limitation, you must go through the above process to fix it.
You shared the folder with a wrong email address
Quotion can only read your notes after you have shared the folder with the email address link@quotion.co. If you share it with the wrong email address, Quotion won't be able to access your notes.
Good to Know: You can also copy the email address easily with this button.
You have marked the post as draft
The draft posts are invisible on your site (That's the meaning of a draft). If your note has a draft tag, just remove it, the post will be visible after synchronization.
iCloud sync issues
Your iCloud storage is full
This case is rare, but iCloud will refuse to sync your notes to us if your iCloud storage is full.
To resolve this issue, consider deleting unwanted iCloud photos, videos, or notes to free up storage space. Alternatively, you can upgrade your iCloud plan to accommodate more storage.
iCloud service isn't available
Sometimes, iCloud service may be not available, you can check the Apple Service System Status (opens in a new tab) for more details.
iCloud sync latency
Sometimes, iCloud sync can take several hours to sync your notes (we experienced this one on 2024/06/09). Unfortunately, nothing we can do to fix this case, please contact Apple Support (opens in a new tab).

Quotion checks your notes periodically. Please wait for 1 or 2 minutes to allow the system to synchronize.
