Secure your entire site with a single password. Visitors must enter this password to access any page. Access remains valid for 1 day before requiring re-entry.

How It Works

Enable Password Protection

1. Access Quotion dashboard
2. Navigate to site settings: https://app.quotion.co/site/<your-site>/settings
3. Enter password in the protection form
4. Save changes
5. Wait for deployment (about 2 minute)

Your site is now password-protected!

Security Features

• Dynamic Rendering: Quotion renders password-protected sites dynamically, unlike static rendering for regular sites.
• Content Protection: User content isn’t sent to visitors until the correct password is entered.
• JavaScript/CSS Manipulation Prevention: Hackers can’t bypass protection by disabling JavaScript or manipulating CSS.

Security Considerations

While Quotion uses industry-standard security measures, we don’t recommend using this feature for highly confidential content (e.g., bank passwords).

Note: No system can guarantee 100% protection against determined hackers.

Q: Can hackers access content directly from HTML?

A: No. Dynamic rendering prevents content from being sent to the visitor’s device until the correct password is entered.

Q: Is it safe for highly confidential information?

A: We don’t recommend it for such use cases. While we employ strong security measures, no system is completely impenetrable.
